KENDAL’S Queen Katherine School has become one of only six secondary schools in the country to be recognised for its religious education teaching.
The school has won a gold award for the Religious Education Quality Mark (REQM), pictured, which was developed by the Religious Education Council (REC) to celebrate quality teaching.
Year Ten student Rosie Wheeler said: “We use RE more than people think, and by having an understanding of beliefs and values we become more tolerant.”
