Morecambe and Lunesdale MP David Morris has welcomed news the Eric Morecambe Statue has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the website TripAdvisor.
The award signifies that Eric’s statute has consistently earned outstanding feedback from tourists.
“I am delighted that the Eric Morecambe statue has been awarded a Trip AdvisorAward,” said Mr Morris.
“It really is a fabulous tourist attraction. Everytime I pass Eric, people of all ages are having their photographs taken with him. I see Eric on Facebook and Twitter profile pictures on regularly."
