AN EDEN company has been given exclusive rights to sell a new range of ‘quiet’ electric motorbikes which were developed in southern France.
MHB Motorcycles, based in Brough, has been appointed stockist of e-Tricks bikes, made by the manufacturer SEV from Saint Martin de Valgalgues.
MHB was opened two years ago by ex-British Antarctic Survey engineer Martin Bell.
Farmer’s son Martin, a former agricultural engineer, said: “I have a passion for all things mechanical, so it was a natural progression for me to open MHB Motorcycles after I left Antartica. Of course I love the roar of an engine, but the new range of electric SEV bikes are fantastic.
“They can deliver the same amount of power as a small motorbike, but with less emissions and noise pollution. I am delighted that we are the only stockist in the UK and hope to see more people using these environmentally bikes in future.”
