AROUND 200 people have this week taken part in a summit over the future of health services around Morecambe Bay.
Representatives from healthcare agencies met at the Castle Green Hotel on Tuesday, as part of the ongoing Better Care Together scheme.
The programme is a partnership between Cumbria and Lancashire North Clinical Commissioning Groups and the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT) and GPs, surgeons, nurses, and other members of staff from all three organisations were joined at the summit by representatives from other agencies, including local authorities and voluntary sector organisations.
Attendees were asked to take part in discussions around the ways services could be provided in the future.
Discussions did not focus on individual hospital sites and no decisions were taken at the summit.
