A SUPERMARKET chain boss has passed on his experience to inqusitive north Lancashire pupils.

Edwin Booth, executive chairman of Booths, visited Wilson’s Endowed School, at Over Kellet, to talk with a class of nine to to 11-year-olds about what it means to be a ‘modern grocer’.

Pupils quizzed him about being a boss and to find out more about how a supermarket works – and, as a follow-up, have been invited to a behind-the-scenes look at the supermarket’s newest store in Milnthorpe.

Head teacher Jo Williams said: “He was most generous with his time and gave our pupils a wonderful insight into what it is like to be a modern grocer. He also encouraged children to aim high and work hard.”
