A BUYER is still being sought for a luxury Dales hotel, which was put on the market last October for £1.4 million.
Simonstone Hall, near Hawes, boasts spectacular views over Upper Wensleydale and has 18 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, brasserie, function room, terrace and garden.
It is licensed for wedding ceremonies and is popular with walkers, tourists and shooting parties.
Peter Bean, director at agents Colliers International, predicted Simonstone Hall would receive a ‘huge boost’ from the Tour de France, which will pass close by in the summer.
“The hotel is much loved by walkers, tourists, wedding and shooting parties, and has a consistently high level of trade,” said Mr Bean.
“Having been in the same hands since 1996, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of Yorkshire’s best-loved country house hotels.”
