BARROW Borough Council is to invest £250,000 on refurbishment of the town’s indoor market.
The works will include a new ceiling, redecoration, a new floor, rewiring, new toilets for market traders and fire and security measures. There will also be 12 new stalls.
The market will remain open during the work, said Coun Dave Pidduck, leader of the borough council.
