A WOMAN who sustained serious chest injuries while attending to her horse this morning has been flown to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesborough.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to Great Asby, near Appleby, at 8.30am and paramedics treated her at the scene.
She was taken directly to a speciality treatment unit on arrival at the hospital.
