SOUTH Lakeland and Furness community groups can find out more about boosting their funds at a special event on Wednesday.
The Funding Fair South Cumbria takes place at Forum 28, Barrow, with grant-giving bodies such as the Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund and Lloyds TSB Foundation on hand to offer advice.
Robin Battersby, senior development officer for organisers Cumbria CVS, said: "I would urge all local organisations to attend this unique event, especially those currently looking for funding.
"It's a great chance to meet lots of potential funders, network with other groups, attend training sessions and find out what you need to do to be successful at raising funds for your community group and becoming a more quality organisation and more sustainable.
Last year's event attracted more than 150 people.
