SCALES Alan Passed away suddenly but peacefully at home in Kendal on Saturday 22nd June 2024, aged 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Sheila, dearest dad of Linda and Sandra, dear grandad of Natalie, Kirk, Nathan and Zoe, dear great grandad of Jack, Ava, Elias, Cadan, Skyla, Leo and Seren, father-in-law to Paul and Murdo, much loved by the wider family and a friend to many. Funeral service will take place at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Friday 12th July at 11:00 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Diabetes UK. I was very fortunate to work with Alan in Pattern Department at K Shoes immediately I left school. With Alan there was only one way to do a job, near enough was not good enough. I had many a clip around the ear in order to meet his standards.
Looking back he had a great influence on my attitude to life.
Thanks Alan. I will never forget the debt I owe you for putting me on the track of life's journey.
