I've known Chris most of my life, we went to the same junior school only a year apart. We were apprentices together , he was a joiner and me a spark and worked on several contracts together. The largest, lasting many months, was the complete renovation of the County Hotel in the early 60s. We were friends outside work in our teens enjoying learning to drive and riding motor bikes down at the Chaplows homestead at Scroggs. I thing this is where he happened to meet his lovely wife to be, Jean , out walking one day.
He was a great friend and will be sadly missed .RIP. The photo shows Chris on the left next to Rog Tonsend , Dave Parkinson, me ,Gavin Noble ,and I've forgotten the last one.
