Dr BARTLEY David Duncan Born in Cilcain, N. Wales but for 30 years a resident of Grange Over Sands, David passed away peacefully on 25th November 2023 at Boarbank Hall Nursing Home, Allithwaite, aged 89 years. Devoted partner of the late Howard Wilby, beloved cousin, friend and neighbour, he will be much missed. An alumnus of the University of Wales, David was a highly regarded ecological botanist at the University of Leeds; an inspirational mentor and teacher much respected and loved by his students. A private funeral service will take place at Beetham Hall Crematorium.
