HOLT Dr. Beverley Lee On 10th November peacefully at his home in Staveley, Bev aged 87 years late of Broom Farm, Underbarrow. Bev will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. Funeral service and interment will take place at Underbarrow Church on Thursday 23rd November at 11.00am. Family flowers only, donations, if so desired, to The Outward Bound Trust C/O A. G. I got to know Bev as a member of the Geographical Club, a dining club associated with the Royal Geographical Society. Bev generously provided venison from Jura for the table, as well as a case of damson gin, produced by a local distillery from damsons growing on his farm. As a result, Bev introduced me to the art and skill of stalking on Jura and we enjoyed annual trips there over the last ten years.
Bev was a great supporter of the Club as well as the RGS acting as Expedition Medical Officer on numerous major Society expeditions. He will be much missed and I valued the happy times I was privileged to spend with him.
