BARNETT Valerie Originally born in Stafford, later of Kendal. Passed away peacefully at Silver Howe Residential Care Home on 17th September, aged 89 years. Wife of the late Clive Barnett, mother of Paul and Stephen, mother-in-law of Joanne and Julie, grandmother to Georgia, Oliver, Kurt, Emma and Sam. Funeral service to be held at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Thursday 5th October at 11.00am. Family flowers only. Dear Paul and Stephen
My sincere sympathy to you all.
I have a connection to Valerie, though not related. We made contact through our interest in genealogy and met in 2008 when I visited Kendal. Her ancestor, William Roxburgh married my 3x great grandmother Jane Earl in 1821. They did not have any children, but Jane had an illegitimate son, Joseph.
