Just tried to phone "Storming Norman" as I use to call Norman. Stephen Wilkes was my cousin and Stephen and Julie stayed with us here in Denmark, Western Australia. Said our final goodbye to Julie in Kendal. Then so shocked to hear of Stephen's passing not long after we caught up with him after Julie died.
Norman was a beautiful person, he took us to lunch at your golf club, it was the scariest drive we've had for a long time! Norman was not good on the gear changes, but we had a wonderful lunch 🤗
I have a pair of Clark shoes that Norman got a discount for me from the original shoe factory in Kendal.
I grew up at 67 Ayneham Rd Kendal and Julie & Stephen gave us a beautiful watercolor print of Nether Bridge and Kendal Parish Church school in the background. I left Kendal when I was 9 years old. Mr Varty was my teacher. My Uncle Harold was Stephen's Dad.
God Bless you "Stormin' Norman" you are a true gentleman and father of a beautiful daughter and a son-in-law who was devoted to your daughter.
RIP Kevin and Helen Johnson

Always a gentleman and a joy to meet when I’ve been back in Kendal. We enjoyed some laughs with Julie and Steve over the years and I hold those memories fondly. I sincerely hope you are all happily reunited. X
