ELLWOOD Malcolm Townson (Malc) Malc died suddenly at home on 23rd December, age 65. Loving partner of Ali, devoted dad to James, Leigh, Sian and Charlotte. A beloved brother, grandad, brother-in-law, father-in-law and uncle. Friend to many. Funeral service to take place at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Tuesday 24th January at 3.30pm. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Cardiac Risk in the Young. All enquiries and donations to Hayes & Parkinson Ltd.

I first met Peter in 1985. He was a retired engineering lecturer and I was just starting out in the same profession.
I remember many happy family days out with Peter and his wife Hilda in the Peak District and South Lake District. There were lots of visits to railway preservation societies, steam boat trips, Highland Gatherings and County Fairs.
I also remember family holidays spent in Grange and gentle walks on the promenade where he would talk about his active life and Scottish Country Dancing interests.
He will be sadly missed.
