Jim (Skip) Cannon was a remarkable and memorable man. He devoted so much of his life to scouting and youth in such a selfless manner. I for one, being one of his earliest and remaining Queens Scouts (80 years old this year) benefitted incredibly from his leadership and dedication and for that I shall always remember with great fondness. The countless weekends and school holidays that he took us kayaking, hiking, camping etc are too numerous to mention. Goodbye Skip and thank you.

Unfortunately I did not get the chance to meet "Skip" in person as an adult but heard many stories growing up and loved looking at his book that included pictures of my father. He was a big part of my father's life growing up in Kendal.
