Great teachers can have life-altering effects on those they teach. Mrs Airey was a GREAT teacher. I was lucky enough to be taught Sociology by George, the first year it was run at A Level in 1998-99 at KKS. It was by far my favourite subject, she injected such enthusiasm and curiousity into such lesson and I've continued to take forward so much of what I learned from those classes into my career over the past 20+ years. As a teacher she was fun, real, approachable and full of empathy for her students. I was able to help out with a Lion King themed birthday party she threw for Sophie one year, likewise as a mum she was clearly devoted, lots of fun and brimming with love. She will be missed. She leaves a long legacy of lives touched, careers shaped and warm memories and what a tribute that is to her.
