SOWERBY Anne Of Windermere and Formerly The Westland Hotel, Workington. Passed away peacefully after a short illness on Tuesday 11th October 2022. Devoted wife of the late John. Deeply loved mum of Jane, Victoria, Alexandra and the late Helen and John. A loved grandmother, sister and aunty. Requiem mass to be held on Friday 21st October in The church of Our lady and St.Michael, Banklands at 10:00a.m. Followed by interment in Salterbeck cemetery. Enquiries to Tom Edgars tel 01900603388. Anne will be received into church on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.

To The Sowerby Girls I have so many lovely memories of you all and some of the most precious are those of your lovely mam, she was to me the perfect lady and I still have the crystal vase she gave Gary and I for a wedding present there was also a crystal ball (it was the 70s dony forget) but sadly that didn't last as long. Today will not be easy for you it's not that long since you lost your dad and if course Helen but from me my fondest memories are working at The Westland, no s on the end, and your wonderful mother.
