IT HAS been an outstanding year as far as art and photography goes at The Lakes School, according to the Troutbeck Bridge school’s head of art, Rob Hardy.
He said that staff and students had worked hard to display their work across the school for the end of year A level art and photography open evening with upper sixth work taking prominence on the school's stage, balcony and library areas and lower sixth photography displayed in the school's new state of the art dining area. Added Rob: “I have taught many of these students since they joined the school in year seven, so while it is sad to let them go, this is an apt way to celebrate what has for me been a stand out year group. Many are progressing to college or university courses where they will make direct use of the creative skills they have gained here.”
