A SERIES of ‘rogue road signs,’ which appeared briefly across a range of Lake District peaks last year have been turned into a permanent art exhibition.
The controversial signs were originally put in place across some of the highest mountains in the region for a unique photo-shoot to promote adventure activities in Cumbria.
Such was the reaction, all 12 signs - which include comical re-workings of some of the Highway Code’s traditional street signs - feature in a new outdoor art installation at Grizedale Forest.
A handy visitor map has been produced so people can find them either on foot, or by bike.
