KENDAL band British Sea Power have announced details of their new album – due in the shops on January 10.
Valhalla Dancehall is the long-awaited follow-up to 2008’s critically acclaimed Do You Like Rock Music?, a number 10 hit in the UK charts which led to performances on American hit programme the Late Show with David Letterman.
The band includes former Kirkbie Kendal School pupils Neil and Scott Wilkinson and Matthew Wood, who have always proudly acknowledged their Cumbrian roots, having appeared on Later with Jools Holland accompanied by displays of Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling.
The new 13-track long player features lead single Living Is So Easy, now available to download for free from their website.
They have also announced a tour in February, the closest venue to Cumbria being Manchester Ritz on Tuesday February 15.
