STOCK up on Red Bull because you'll need plenty of energy if you're going to dance your way through Squeeze Tang Buzz, an eclectic little evening of sets due to take over Ulverston's Lanternhouse tonight (Friday).
Headlining with a mix of accordian, fiddle, concertina, trumpet and, wait for it, saw, will be More Music Morecambe's Pete Moser and Saskatoon's Calvin Cairns.
While the former writes theatrical scores as well as teaching percussion, voice, brass and song-writing, you must not confuse the latter with the man behind the sexed-up designer underpants. Canadian Cairn is currently on a three-month tour of Europe and a big name on his native country's folk scene.
Also appearing tonight will be a pairing of local singer-songwriters with Dave Camiln (director of the Cumbrian Youth Music Action Zone) and Lanternhouse Voices' choirleader Ali Rigg, as well as composer Tim Fleming who will be singing tunes for the Longline project.
Chuck in a dose of the Baybeat Carnival Band and add a pinch of Paula Jardine (a storyteller from Vancouver) and you've got the ingredients for an entertaining night.
Tickets on the door.
