AN ECLECTIC mix of Eastern European gipsy songs, traditional Jewish music, Middle Eastern Melodies fused with a touch of jazz, reggae and ska will ring around Shap Memorial Hall tonight (Friday, February 11) at 8pm with a performance from The Baghdaddies. The musical combination from the distinctive live band performing as part of the Highlights rural touring scheme's spring season in the Eden Valley is guaranteed to get the audience on its feet and dancing when the action begins at 8pm. n FILM buffs and movie lovers alike will be flocking to the Keswick Film Festival 2005, which starts tonight (Friday) and runs until Sunday. The festival not only includes screenings of the weird and wonderful in world cinema but also the chance to hear director Jeremy Gilley, whose 1999 film Peace One Day will be screened at the Theatre by the Lake tonight (Friday, Feb 11) at 7.30pm. The film marks the start of the film festival at Keswick, during which 23 films will be screened over the next two days at both the Alhambra Cinema and Theatre by the Lake.
