BROUGHT together by a Kirkbie Kendal School talent show, rock and blues band Decayed make their debut at Dickie Doodles on Sunday night.
However, the four-piece who can be found rehearsing in the school's music rooms every Tuesday night are not your normal guitar-wielding school band.
Fronted by both Fred Pattison (vocals and bass) and Mike Warwick (vocals and lead guitar) the band also includes KKS art teacher Geoff Cater (rhythm guitar) and David Bell on drums all whom have long since waved goodbye to their teenage years.
"The music is virtually all covers of rock and blues from the 60s to the 80s Slade, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Peter Green and The Kinks and I've managed to sneak one Dylan number in," said Geoff.
The band also plan to play a couple of self-penned numbers including Oxenholme Station Blues.
You can catch Decayed at Dickie Doodles, Kendal, at 7.30pm.
