A derbyshire and a Japanese living room will be recreated at Lancaster's Folly this month, when an award-winning interactive domestic installation drops into the gallery as part of a national tour. The result of two residences that took place in the living rooms of seven house-bound people in south Derbyshire, England, and Tokyo, Japan, Home-Maker, by artist Jeanie Finlay, examines what makes a house a home and how does this change if you cannot leave?' Navigating the two, very different, rooms provokes questions on culture, home, family, faith and solitude, giving the viewer an intimate insight into the lives of Florrie, Roy, Betty, Lillian, Aiko-San, Emi-San and Monji-San. Home-Maker runs until September 10. Opening Tuesday-Thursday 11am-5pm, Friday and Saturday 11am-4pm. For further details contact Folly on 01524-388550.
