PEOPLE, Places and Things is the latest exhibition to grace the space at Farfield Mill Arts and Heritage Centre.
Running until Wednesday (June 9), the Sedbergh centre features the work of the Cheshire Textiles Group, a talented band of contemporary textile artists who got together in 1988.
Innovation is the name of the game for the group.
Their work is diverse in both style and scale and aimed at putting textiles firmly on the map as an art form.
Techniques include felt making, art quilts, hand and machine embroidery, handmade paper, mixed media, and book and doll making, all created in adventurous and imaginative ways.
While some members explore their personal reactions to people, places and things, recycling and the transformation of objects discovered influence others.
From figurative and representational to the abstract and conceptual, textiles is a dynamic and fascinating part of the creative arts.
Farfield is open seven days a week, 10.30am-5pm.
