PRO Nobis Singers' 35th anniversary concert is at Kendal Parish Church on June 19 (7.30pm) and promises to be a special affair.
Conductor Clive Walkley has brought together an acclaimed team of soloists: Evelyn Tubb (soprano), Andrew King (tenor), and bass Simon Grant, well known across the world for their performance of music from the 18th Century and earlier. The programme features music by Handel. Accompanying choir and soloists will be a professional group of young instrumentalists, Finchcocks Baroque, from London. n The next concert in the popular Bach and Friends series at Rydal Church takes place on Sunday (8pm) when internationally-renowned organist Ian Hare performs a mainly Bach programme on the 18th Century organ. Tickets are £12 from Ambleside's Holdsworth's bookshop or by calling 015394-33978.
