PUNK veterans the UK Subs play at the Milnthorpe Institute at the end of this month. Led by original vocalist Charlie Harper, the band features Alan Campbell on guitar, Brian Barnes on bass and Jay on drums who all appear fresh from Canada at the South Lakeland venue on May 31. Organisers said the night had stirred up a flurry of interest for the 300-capacity gig.

Part of Britain's original punk scene during the mid-'70s, the U.K. Subs scored several hit singles and recorded several sessions with Radio One DJ John Peel.
