THE founding fathers of the Lake Artists take centre stage in a special exhibition to celebrate the society's 100th birthday.
Coniston's Ruskin Museum where the society's first show was held is staging a show of work by the 20 founder members of the society running until June 6, which ties in with publication of journalist and biographer Jane Renouf's dazzling book The Lake Artists Society A Centenary Celebration.
Featured in the exhibition is work by W.G. Collingwood, Arthur Severn, the Tucker brothers, Beatrice Willink and many more.
Memorabilia, letters and sketches belonging to the founders are also in the special exhibition.
