The first moment you hear the pop punk of Barrow rockers, Gear, it makes you want to leap about dementedly.
Claiming on their press release to have more attitude than a 14-year-old in a GAP hoody', and having the support of Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe, Gear already have their fingers on the pulse of the world of baggy pants' punk rock with their new single Crackwire.
Even more interesting is the gem of a B-side, Sicky Sicky Sick Sick Sick, which sounds just like Radiohead when they knew how to write a proper tune. If you're fed up with manufactured bland pop clogging up the top 40, then this catchy little rock number is for you. Miss Gear if you dare, your ears will regret it.
