Kendal College students are staging one of its most challenging productions to date - Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass.
Renowned drama lecturer Hilary Pezet is certainly up for the challenge and tells me the show is a collaboration of performing arts, technical and multi-media students with some additional help from the art department on masks and character heads as well as hair and beauty departments.
"The show is a real test of my imagination as there is just so much in Alice and in The Looking Glass," added Hilary in between putting the students through their paces for the show, which runs at Kendal's Brewery Arts Centre, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 12-14 (7.30pm).
Adapted for the Royal Shakespeare Company by Adrian Mitchell, Hilary and the creative cast have tweaked the script even further to include dance and original songs with music composed by local musician Tim Riley.
For further coverage see The Westmorland Gazette Leisure section, June 1 edition.
Tickets are £8 / £6 and available from the Brewery box office.
