Felix the Fast Tractor and the Coal Delivery...
and Felix the Fast Tractor and the New Building...
These books are just magic for kids. They are bright and colourful and bang up to date, the story is simple but 'real', and the extra facts added in the corners are a great idea.
I loved the layout with pictures and words intermixed, it made the you look at the whole page in case you missed anything. And there is so much to talk about - which is what younger children are supposed to like.
The text is simple but does not avoid words that will stretch a child's ability. There is lots of punctuation, which breaks up the sentences and makes the book look more 'grown up', and the font that has been used has quite a casual style. The text is beautifully set out , with ample space for a child look at each work.
The response from this household is an overwhelming YES, let's hope Felix the Tractor becomes better known.
