A POCKET-SIZED walking guide with a difference, Coast to Coast Path is the latest addition to the Trailblazer series.
Tracing Alfred Wainwright's two-week trail, which runs from St Bees on the Irish Sea across the breadth of northern England to the North Sea at Robin Hood's Bay, the 191-mile trek takes in the best of the British countryside.
The spectacular walk crosses three national parks the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorks Moors and takes in rugged mountains and lakes, gentle dales and wild moorland, sea cliffs and fishing villages.
Small and perfectly formed, the Trailblazer series's strength lies where some other walking guides fail as it comes packed with practical information - including 108 maps and town plans, colour photos and interesting information on local wildlife.
Inside, the guide provides details of en route accommodation, eateries, public transport and places of interest as well as easy-to-read maps drawn by walkers for walkers.
Coast to Coast Path is one of a series of seven published by Trailblazer and is priced at £9.99.
