Out with a bang or more likely a pop as this is my last Raise a Glass.
What better way to bid you all adieu than to toast with a bottle of fizz?
I opted for my favourite orange label Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2004, which is also a Decanter award winner.
This Champagne house is not your run of the mill producer as it was founded by a woman more than 230 years ago.
It's a brilliant gold in colour and has hints of spring flowers, peach and citrus fruits finished with buttery hazelnut notes.
This Champagne will complement many fish or white meat dishes or simply serve as an aperitif.
Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2004 is available from Majestic Wine priced £42 a bottle. Not an everyday drink but with lots of summer celebrations why not treat yourselves?
