A MEDIUM dry white is the tipple for this week – and one that is scrumptious and wonderfully dry and aromatic with great citrus flavours, hints of spice and a touch of apricot.
It is Chat-en-Oeuf Blanc, Vin De Pays d'Oc. Not only does this wine taste great but is represents great value too, from Booths at only £5.99 a bottle.
This really is a great one to pair with fish as the lemony notes will match any white fish well. We plumped for a nice fillet of sea bass simply pan fried served with gnocchi and basil pesto. It was truly a delight I was also cooking for a vegetarian and I must say having this with grilled halloumi also worked a treat. A clean balanced and refreshing find which is a great drinking wine, also one to try if you’re a pinot grigio fan.
