SOMETHING pink for you all this week - a sparkling Italian, Raboso, Rosado Corte Alta NV.
The raboso grape is essentially the sister to the better known white grape prosecco and has great flavour similarities.
The grapes are harvested from around the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiandene and this lovely fizz is a really great aperitif or will pair nicely with a summer salad – try a classic chicken caesar, you can't go wrong.
Alternatively, pop it in your picnic hamper or just simply serve with fresh juicy strawberries and cream. This fizz has a intense bouquet which is dry yet fruity with peach and strawberry flavours, which gives this a lovely all round full bodied taste.
If you like drinking dry whites I would definitely recommend you give this a try. It is also great value too and currently on special offer at Majestic Wine for £6.99 a bottle.
