DOROTHY HOLME (DOLLY) of Kendal celebrated her 100th birthday on June 15, 2014, with a reception at Heron Hill Care Home, Kendal. Dorothy was born in 1914 in Oxenholme and worked for K Shoes until she married her late husband Donald Leslie Holme (Les) in 1950. Dorothy moved to Heron Hill after she was married and lived there until she moved to Heron Hill Care Home in 2012. Dorothy’s family and friends would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Heron Hill Care Home for taking such good care of her and for arranging such a lovely party.
