Fylde have signed Mike Waywell ahead of the 2008/9 season.
The 20-year old former Sale Jets and 'A' team player made three 1st team appearances last season for the Woodlands club and scored four tries in the process.
Waywell can play at either fullback or fly-half and is also a useful goal kicker.
He's had two seasons at Sale but has now joined Fylde on a normal seasonal contract.
Waywell, 6ft 1ins, 87kgs and who lives in Ormskirk, has impressive rugby credentials, with numerous Sale 'A' team and Jets appearances behind him and has also represented the club at the Middlesex 7s.
He has played club rugby at Altrincham Kersal and Preston Grasshoppers, as well as for Myerscough College Academy whilst a student there.
He's also made several Lancashire U'20s appearances.
Mark Nelson said: "We're delighted that Mike has joined us for next season.
"He's a talented young footballer who has a very good all round game.
"He is versatile and opportunistic as he showed in his performances for the club last season.
"This is another example of the benefits of the links between Fylde and Sale."
