TWO cars parked in Kendal were damaged by fire yesterday afternoon.
Police and a fire crew were called to the incident on Dowkers Lane just after 1pm to find the vehicles, a Peugeot 206 and a Honda Jazz, well alight.
Firefighters used one set of breathing apparatus and a hose reel water jet to extinguish the flames.
A police spokesman said the cause of fire was found to be an electrical fault under the bonnet of the Peugeot.
Nobody was in either car at the time of the fire and both owners were with police at the scene.
