PLANS of historic buildings ranging from the late 1880s to the end of World War II can now be viewed via Barrow Borough Council’s website.

Using Google maps technology, the council has begun to provide the plans, which include those for buildings which no longer exist, and some that were never built.

Most of the plans are scans taken from the county archives, and the council intends to add more plans to the list every month.
