PHOTOS reveal the extent of the destruction to a car that was on fire on the A590 near Levens.
The photos were taken by a crew from Milnthorpe Fire Station. The fire fighters received a call at 11.24pm last night (Friday, 21 June).
A fire spokesperson said: "On arrival the crew found a car that was well alight 2 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus (BA) extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet and one thermal imaging camera.
"The crew were on scene for around 30 minutes before returning to home station."
