THE full line-up has been announced for a rock festival in town with 30 acts to raise funds for a charity.

Kendal Rocks—The Sequel is returning to The Venue in Bowness Bay Brewery on the first weekend of May in aid of the charity Action for Wellbeing - a suicide prevention charity, covering South Cumbria and North Lancashire.

All the profits will go towards the charity planning to open The Cheyenne Gardner Respite House - a small and confidential respite house.

Katy Bilham of the Kendal Rocks team said: "Action for Wellbeing offers one-to-one counselling services and matches the user with the counsellor they feel best suited. The concept came from Freddy May, who sadly lost a close friend. They are currently busy fundraising to set up a respite home for people who may need a little “time out."

"As organisers also we have had personal experience with losing loved ones due to suicide We live in a society that doesn’t have the NHS resources to help. Charities like this are invaluable to our local area who, like everywhere else has seen a sharp, increase in people struggling to gain support for their mental health."
