TWO kayakers and a dog were rescued by firefighters after getting stranded on an island on a Lake District lake.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue were called to an incident on Ullswater yesterday morning (Saturday) after the group got stuck.
The two kayakers had fallen into trouble on Norfolk Island around 11am due to strong weather conditions.
As conditions began to worsen, Kendal Fire Station deployed their rescue boat and was able to safely rescue everyone involved.
Two amber weather warnings have now been issued because of Storm Isha moving closer. The strongest winds are expected on Sunday night and into Monday morning.
Kendal Fire Station are urging everyone to be mindful of the ever-changing weather conditions.
