Multiple fire crews attended a car fire this morning off the M6 slip road on J37.
Kendal Green Watch, alongside Sedbergh Fire Station and Shap on call, attended the car fire which was ‘well alight’ on arrival.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, a compressed air foam system and a thermal image camera to bring the incident under control.
A Kendal Fire Station spokesman said: “Station manager Sean Hevey carried out operational assurance HATO (highways transport officer) also attended to manage the traffic.”
