A SECTION of the A590 is partially blocked after a car set on fire.
The roundabout at Meathop has been closed since 5am after the incident.
According to the police's traffic map, the road is closed eastbound because of debris left on the road.
Cumbria Roads Police said on Twitter: "Traffic flow on the A590 at Meathop junction with Grange will be restricted this morning following a vehicle fire which has damaged the road surface.
"Please be patient and plan more time for your journey."
Officers then added: "No access to A590 EB from Grange/Meathop until debris removed and road surface repaired."
