THE M6 Northbound exit slip road at Junction 37, near Sedbergh, is closed after to a lorry fire.
Four fire engines from Kendal, Sedbergh, Staveley and Penrith were called just after midnight.
Firefighters used three breathing apparatus and one compressed air foam branch.
They were at the scene for more than eight hours.

The road is still closed and Highways England advises motorists to use Junction 38, turn and exit southbound.
Despite the closure, traffic is coping well.

Recovery is complete and debris has been cleared from the carriageway. The slip road requires gritting before it can be re-opened.
