Pattedale Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) attended two incidents on Ullswater last night (Sunday).
The first incident was a false alarm with good intent. A man reported to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency that a family were in difficulty on a paddle board near to Norfolk Island.
It transpired that they were fine and the team stood down.
