FORMER Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott visited the Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes for a new documentary series called Made in Yorkshire which was screened on Channel 5 on Tuesday.
The politician, who has lived in Yorkshire for most of his life and was the MP for Hull East for 40 years, has been journeying around the he region learning about and getting involved in the processes of Yorkshire food production.
The creamery also welcomed JB Gill, former JLS band member turned farmer, who tried his hand at making Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese and visited some of the Yorkshire farms which supply the milk to produce its award-winning dairy range as part of the Springtime on the Farm series, which aired last night. He got to grips with cheese making.
