A MAN in his 60s who collapsed while walking his dog on Kendal Castle has died in hospital.
William Smith Hogg, of Sandylands, Kendal, was helped by two passers-by who alerted the emergency services when he fell ill yesterday morning.
Paramedics resuscitated Mr Hogg in a land ambulance and he was then flown by a North West Air Ambulance to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. It had landed on the playing fields close to the Castle estate at around 8.15am.
Mr Hogg was stabilised in hospital but sadly suffered another cardiac arrest and died.
